CALL TO WORSHIP: Elder Susan Colts
(Jesus says) “I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.
This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever.
And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” (John 6:48-51)
SONG OF PRAISE: “O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing”
1 O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer’s praise,
the glories of my God and King, the triumphs of his grace!
2 My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim,
to spread thro’ all the earth abroad the honors of your name.
3 Jesus! the name that charms our fears,that bids our sorrows cease,
’tis music in the sinner’s ears,’tis life and health and peace.
4 He breaks the power of cancelled sin,he sets the prisoner free;
his blood can make the foulest clean; his blood availed for me.
5 To God all glory, praise, and love be now and ever given
by saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heaven.
INVOCATION:
Most holy and exalted God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; we gather to worship and give You the praise that You so richly deserve. Come to us, and make Yourself manifest in our midst. Grant us the sense of Your presence. Strengthen us that we may see You with eyes of faith and hear You speaking through Your Word. Fill our hearts with Your joy that we delight in You above all else. We ask it to the glory of Your name. Amen.
HYMN OF WORSHIP: “I Know Whom I Have Believed”
1 I know not why God’s wondrous grace to me is daily shown,
nor why, with mercy, Christ in love redeemed me for his own.
Refrain:
But “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able
to keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.”
2 I know not how this saving faith to me he did impart,
nor how believing in his word wrought peace within my heart. [Refrain]
3 I know not how the Spirit moves, convincing us of sin,
revealing Jesus through the Word, creating faith in him. [Refrain]
4 I know not when my Lord may come, at night or noon-day fair,
nor if I’ll walk the vale with him, or meet him in the air. [Refrain]
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty God, You have raised Jesus from death to life, and crowned Him Lord of all. We confess that we have not bowed before Him, or acknowledged His rule in our lives. We have gone along with the ways of the world, and failed to give Him glory. Forgive us and raise us from sin, that we may be Your faithful people, obeying the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ, who rules the world and is head of the church, His body. In His name we pray, Amen. Let us take the next few moments to silently confess our sins that we might know the joy of restored life in Christ.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
Hear the Good News! Christ Jesus entered the world to rescue sinners. He personally bore our sins in His body on the Cross, so that we might be dead to sin and be alive to all that is good. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

HYMN OF ADORATION: “God Leads Us Along”
1. In shady, green pastures, so rich and so sweet, God leads His dear children along;
Where the water’s cool flow bathes the weary one’s feet, God leads His dear children along.
Refrain:
Some through the waters, some through the flood, Some through the fire, but all through the blood;
Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song, In the night season and all the day long.
2. Sometimes on the mount where the sun shines so bright, God leads His dear children along;
Sometimes in the valley, in darkest of night, God leads His dear children along.
3.Though sorrows befall us and satan oppose, God leads His dear children along;
Through grace we can conquer, defeat all our foes, God leads His dear children along.

CLOSING SONG: “Break Thou the Bread of Life”
1 Break Thou the bread of life, dear Lord, to me, as Thou didst break the loaves beside the sea;
Beyond the sacred page I seek you, Lord; my spirit pants for thee, O living Word.
2 Break Thou the bread of life, 0 Lord, to me, that hid within my heart Thy word may be;
Mold Thou each inward thought, from self set free, and let my steps be all controlled by Thee.
3 Open Thy word of truth that I may see thy message written clear and plain for me;
Then in sweet fellowship, walking with Thee, Thine image on my life engraved will be.
4 Bless Thou the truth, dear Lord to me, to me, as Thou didst bless the bread by Galilee;
Then shall all bondage cease, all fetters fall; and I shall find my peace, my All in all!
