PRELUDE: “Our Great Savior,” arr. Koerts

PLEASE NOTE: This music provides an opportunity for us to meditate, prepare our hearts, and reverently worship God the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit.
*CALL TO WORSHIP: Elder Craig Ditman
3His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence, 4by which He has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
5For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.
10Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities, you will never fall. 11For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:3-11)
*SONG OF PRAISE: “God, Our Father, We Adore Thee,” #93 On the Screen
1 God, our Father, we adore Thee! We, Thy children, bless Thy name!
Chosen in the Christ before Thee, we are “holy, without blame.”
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! Abba’s praises we proclaim!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! Abba’s praises we proclaim!
2 Son Eternal, we adore Thee! Lamb upon the throne on high!
Lamb of God, we bow before Thee, Thou hast brought Thy people nigh!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! Son of God, who came to die!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! Son of God, who came to die!
3 Holy Spirit, we adore Thee! Paraclete and heavenly guest!
Sent from God and from the Savior, Thou hast led us into rest.
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! by Thy grace forever blest.
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! by Thy grace forever blest.
4 Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Three in One! we give Thee praise!
For the riches we inherit, heart and voice to Thee we raise!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! Thee we bless through endless days!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee! Thee we bless through endless days!
*INVOCATION:
Most holy and exalted God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; we gather to worship and give You the praise that You so richly deserve. Come to us, and make Yourself manifest in our midst. Grant us the sense of Your presence. Strengthen us that we may see You with eyes of faith and hear You speaking through Your Word. Fill our hearts with Your joy that we delight in You above all else. We ask it to the glory of Your name. Amen.
HYMN OF WORSHIP: “Rejoice, Ye Pure in Heart”
1 Rejoice, O pure in heart, rejoice, give thanks, and sing;
your festal banner wave on high, the cross of Christ your King.
Refrain:
Rejoice, rejoice, rejoice, give thanks, and sing!
2 Bright youth and snow-crowned age, both men and women, raise
on high your free, exulting song, declare God’s wondrous praise. [Refrain]
3 Still lift your standard high, still chanting as you go,
from youth to age, by night and day, in gladness and in woe. [Refrain]
4 At last the march shall end; the wearied ones shall rest,
the pilgrims reach their home at last, Jerusalem the blest. [Refrain]
5 Praise God, who reigns on high, the Lord whom we adore:
the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, one God forevermore. [Refrain]
PRAYER OF CONFESSION:
Gracious God, Who pours out freely the gift of Your Holy Spirit: We confess before You that we have failed to recognize this most valuable gift. We have been satisfied with ordinary things, suspicious of unfamiliar things, and blind to spiritual things. Cleanse and forgive us, O Lord. Burn away our presumption and self-sufficiency. Open us in faith to receive the renewing touch of Your hand. Through Christ we pray. Amen. Let us take the next few moments to silently confess our sins that we might know the joy of restored life in Christ.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
Hear the Good News of Jesus Christ: By grace through faith, you are forgiven! Jesus Christ has paid the price, and you are now free to love and serve God.

*HYMN OF ADORATION: “My Jesus, I Love Thee”
1 My Jesus, I love thee, I know thou art mine; for thee all the follies of sin I resign;
my gracious Redeemer, my Savior art thou; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
2 I love thee because thou hast first loved me and purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree;
I love thee for wearing the thorns on thy brow; if ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
3 I’ll love thee in life, I will love thee in death, and praise thee as long as thou lendest me breath, and say when the deathdew lies cold on my brow: If ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.
4 In mansions of glory and endless delight, I’ll ever adore thee in heaven so bright;
I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow: If ever I loved thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.

*CLOSING SONG: “Standing on the Promises”
1 Standing on the promises of Christ, my King, Through eternal ages let his praises ring;
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing, Standing on the promises of God, my Savior;
Standing, standing, I’m standing on the promises of God.
2 Standing on the promises that cannot fail. When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail, Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
3 Standing on the promises of Christ, the Lord, Bound to him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword, Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
4 Standing on the promises I cannot fall, List’ning ev’ry moment to the Spirit’s call,
Resting in my Savior as my all in all, Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
