Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service on Tuesday is at 5:00 pm. This traditional service of lessons and carols will conclude with everyone holding candles to sing “Silent Night.” Your unchurched friends, relatives, neighbors, and co-workers are more likely to accept your invitation to join you at church on Christmas Eve than any other occasion during the year. Who might you invite?
If you are a member of Mt. Pisgah, Presbytery is sending you a letter. After months of waiting, we have a presbytery group working with us to finalize our dismissal to ECO (HYPERLINK “http://eco-pres.org” eco-pres.org), our future denomination. We need to ascertain the membership intent of every church member, and that is the letter’s purpose. Please read and respond to the letter immediately upon receiving it this week. It is vitally important that every member returns his or her reply. We want to care for every member in this transition. Since there was overwhelming support for the move from PCUSA to ECO, your elders are expecting the vast majority if not the entirety of the congregation to choose to be dismissed to ECO with the congregation, remaining members of Mt. Pisgah when it becomes an ECO congregation.
