“…God has highly exalted Jesus and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philp 2:9-11)
“Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name give glory, for the sake of Your steadfast love and Your faithfulness!” (Psalm 115:1)
*HYMN OF PRAISE: “God, Our Father, We Adore Thee”
1 God, our Father, we adore Thee!
We, Thy children, bless Thy name!
Chosen in the Christ before Thee,
we are “holy, without blame.”
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
Abba’s praises we proclaim!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
Abba’s praises we proclaim!
2 Son Eternal, we adore Thee!
Lamb upon the throne on high!
Lamb of God, we bow before Thee,
Thou hast brought Thy people nigh!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
Son of God, who came to die!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
Son of God, who came to die!
3 Holy Spirit, we adore Thee!
Paraclete and heavenly guest!
Sent from God and from the Savior,
Thou hast led us into rest.
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
by Thy grace forever blest.
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
by Thy grace forever blest.
4 Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
Three in One! we give Thee praise!
For the riches we inherit,
heart and voice to Thee we raise!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
Thee we bless through endless days!
We adore Thee! we adore Thee!
Thee we bless through endless days!
INVOCATION: In Unison
Most holy and loving God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; we gather to worship You and make Your Name glorious in our midst. Open our hearts to sense the glory of Your beautiful presence. Make us to be attentive and receptive to the things You are teaching and forming in us. Hear us now as we exalt Your name together. Amen.
HYMN OF WORSHIP: “His Eye Is on the Sparrow”
1 Why should I feel discouraged?
Why should the shadows come?
Why should my heart be lonely
and long for heaven and home,
when Jesus is my portion?
My constant friend is he:
his eye is on the sparrow,
and I know he watches me;
his eye is on the sparrow,
and I know he watches me.
Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy, (I’m happy)
I sing because I’m free, (I’m free)
for his eye is on the sparrow,
and I know he watches me.
2 “Let not your heart be troubled,”
his tender word I hear,
and resting on his goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears;
though by the path he leadeth
but one step I may see:
his eye is on the sparrow,
and I know he watches me;
his eye is on the sparrow,
and I know he watches me. [Refrain]
3 Whenever I am tempted,
whenever clouds arise,
when song gives place to sighing,
when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to him;
from care he sets me free:
his eye is on the sparrow,
and I know he watches me;
his eye is on the sparrow,
and I know he watches me. [Refrain]
CONFESSING OUR SIN TOGETHER: In Unison
Lord God: Because of our sin, we need to confess to You. We have neglected to do what You command, and we have gone ahead and done what You forbid. We have attempted to raise ourselves to Your stature, failing miserably and bringing shame upon ourselves. We assuredly need Your forgiveness and restoration! Please do forgive our sins and make us clean again, we humbly ask in Jesus’ name. Amen. Please use the next few moments for quiet reflection and confession of sins to God.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
Our Gracious Lord promises to freely pardon all who grieve their sin, trust in the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, repent of wrong, and turn in faith and obedience to Him. Our burden has been placed upon another. Let us rejoice in the wonder of His grace!

HYMN OF ADORATION:“The Power of The Cross”
Oh, to see the dawn of the darkest day
Christ on the road to calvary
tried by sinful men, torn and beaten then
nailed to a cross of wood
This the pow’r of the cross
Christ became sin for us
took the blame, bore the wrath
we stand forgiven at the cross
Oh, to see the pain written on you face
bearing the awesome wight of sin
every bitter thought, every evil deed
crowning your bloodstained brown
This the pow’r of the cross
Christ became sin for us
took the blame, bore the wrath
we stand forgiven at the cross
Now the daylight flees
Now the ground beneath
quakes as it maker bows his head
curtain torn into
dead are raise to life
“finished” the victory cry
This the pow’r of the cross
Christ became sin for us
took the blame, bore the wrath
we stand forgiven at the cross
Oh, to see my name written in the wounds
for through your suffering i am free
death is crushed to death
life is mine to live
won through you selfless love
this the pow’r of the cross
son of God slain for us
what a love, what a cost
we stand forgiven at the cross
