Save the dates – We have three events scheduled for November and December:
Sunday, November 10, at 6:30 pm here at church: A Billy Graham Ice Cream Social. We’ll make ice cream sundaes and watch evangelist Billy Graham’s final crusade message. Important: BRING A FRIEND! This is a super opportunity for someone to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.
VISIT: My Hope America Website (Billy Graham)
VIDEO: Love Them Like Jesus
Monday, November 25, at 4:00 here: The Hanging of the Greens. We’ll decorate the church for Advent and Christmas and then have a light soup supper. This is a great way to enjoy one another and the meaning of the season.
Sunday, December 22, at 10:00 am, following worship here: Christmas Breakfast. Mt. Pisgah Women is preparing a festive breakfast for this final Sunday before Christmas. Come to worship and stay for a great breakfast.
Are you filling your baby bottle with pocket change? We will be returning the filled bottles on Sunday, November 3, so don’t forget to empty your pockets and change purse into your bottle, passed out last week. If you don’t have a bottle, get one today in the Fellowship Hall. The money goes to support Care Net’s ministry with women with crisis pregnancies. Let’s be a wildly generous church!
Operation Christmas Child update – Do you see the shoebox gifts accumulating? We plan to do hundreds, and a work group meets most Wednesdays at 2:00 downstairs here at church. You are invited to help. The workers could use more paper supplies, sturdy toys, fabric, yarn and large size rubber bands that secure the box. You can pick up a list of items and ideas on the table by the front door. Check with Beth Matanich if you have questions.
Holiday Bazaar: Saturday, November 2 – Join our friends at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 304 North Second Street, Roslyn, at their annual Holiday Bazaar from 9 to 3 with lunch available from 11 to 2. Featuring lots of handmade items by local folks, this is an area favorite.
