Save the date! Saturday, October 5 from 4 to 7 pm will be the annual “Taste of Italy” Spaghetti Dinner and outrageous salad bar.
You voted decisively! Last Sunday, the advisory vote was 95% in favor of asking for dismissal to the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians. We had 81% of our members present to vote. Both of those figures far surpass presbytery minimum requirements for dismissal, and the presbytery will now take care of the legal details through an Administrative Commission that works with us. Fifteen of our guests and regular attenders also voted, with 93% in favor of dismissal. We are beginning a transition to a denomination that better represents our firm Christian convictions and that will help us to grow in our faithfulness.
Mt. Pisgah Women meets Wednesday at 1:00 here at the church. All women are invited to help kick off the fall, as plans are made for the traditional Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on October 5. Anne Thomas, literacy missionary to Laos, Cambodia and Thailand, will join us to give a mission update.
