Pastor Berkley will be on study leave this week at the Whitworth Institute of Ministry on the Whitworth University campus in Spokane. Then Debbie and both of their children’s families will join Jim in Black Butte Ranch, Oregon, and here in Roslyn for a week of vacation together, finally ending in Bellevue with a memorial service for Jim’s mother on July 20.
Jim will spend a second vacation week in Port Angeles, preparing his mother’s house for eventual sale. Jim will be back in the office on Monday, July 29. For pastoral-care needs, call the church office, or, if necessary, call Pastor Berkley’s cell phone (425) 417-9914. Please pray for rest, rejuvenation, and spiritual growth for Dr. Berkley during his study and vacation.
Dr. Gordon Froese will be returning as our guest preacher July 14, 21, and 27. Dr. Froese, a dentist and lay preacher from Moses Lake, is a Mt. Pisgah favorite, having preached here before. He’ll be preaching on brokenness, hope, and peace.
Kids Summer Bible Fun comes to Roslyn. Invite kids to find God in US history –
Can you help involve kids in “Drive-Thru History America” here at Mt. Pisgah? With a comedic style in video segments, host Dave Stotts travels through time introducing kids to the character, faith, and experiences of America’s founders as they developed our great country.
For five Tuesdays from 1:00 to 2:30—starting July 16—we’ll offer fun, games, and snacks, all while introducing kids to the God of history. But we need kids, aged 8 to 12. Will you help round them up?
Call the office, 649-3572, Monday through Wednesday or Susan Colts , 674-9619, for information.
