Open Meetings and potluck next Saturday at 5–8:00. With a big decision about which denomination will have our allegiance as a congregation, we need every member of our congregation—and any interested friends, too!—to set apart next Saturday evening for two open meetings of the congregation, with a potluck dinner in between.
Later this summer, you will be voting about denominations, and these two meetings on Saturday provide insight on the issues involved. You will be much better informed and even have a chance to ask questions and hear from our presbytery.
Please bring a hot dish, salad, or dessert to share for the potluck at 6:00, between the 5:00 and 7:00 Open Meetings. For Central Washington Presbytery to dismiss Mt. Pisgah, the presbytery needs to be assured that we know what we are requesting and that the congregation is involved.
These two meetings are key in giving that sense to the Discernment Team from presbytery, which will ultimately recommend dismissal or not at the end of the discernment process. Make it a priority to join your friends here on Saturday!
Your church leaders meet on Tuesday afternoon. Please pray for the elders and your pastor as they attend to important matters in the life of this congregation.
What gifts and talents can you share with our church to help spread the work around? Sometimes a few of the same hands seem to do the major portion of whatever tasks are at hand, but we know there are many able hands in this congregation to share the load. Several small repair/painting/building projects are available. Worship assistants are needed. Weeds abound outside! What can you do to help out? Call the church office (649-3572) Monday–Wednesday mornings to offer your help and get connected with a task. Thank you!
