Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is Wednesday at 5:00 pm here in the Sanctuary. This traditional service of lessons, carols, and candles focuses our thoughts on Jesus Christ, who was born for us. The service will conclude with each person holding a candle and singing “Silent Night.” There is no better time to invite a friend or relative to join you in worship. Who can be your special guests on a holy night? Give them the gift of worship by bringing them to church with you.
Please remember your church in your year-end giving. This has been a year of spending a little more than we have received, so your generosity would be much appreciated. Gifts not given in the Sunday offering must be delivered here by noon of December 31 in order to be receipted as 2014 charitable gifts for tax purposes.
Women’s Bible Study Fellowship comes to our church on Tuesday, January 13, 10:00 to noon. BSF is an in-depth, interdenominational Bible study that helps people know God and equips them to effectively serve the Church. For more information or to enroll (required), call Carol Hornall, group leader, at 674-6863. This class (through May) examines the life of Moses. This winter you can begin to understand God’s Word like never before.
As our shoebox gifts head overseas, please be praying for the hundreds of children who will individually receive a gift. Pray that the children will know that the gift is ultimately from God, the God who loves them. Pray for those precious children and their families that they would be able to rejoice in God.
