MIISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
Reach out to children around the world. One of our biggest mission projects each year is preparing hundreds of gift boxes to be distributed to destitute children overseas by Samaritan’s Purse in Operation Christmas Child. It takes a lot of hands to make the gifts and to assemble the boxes, so each Tuesday at 2:00, a work party is gathering downstairs to lend a hand. Join in on the fun! Items are still needed to fill the boxes, such as hard candies, Beanie Baby–type toys, and school supplies. Can you donate both your time and something for the gift boxes?
Looking for some good reading? There is a small lending library in the church office, containing Christian books you will find interesting. If we are what we eat, then we certainly become that with which we feed to our minds. So we might as well feed our minds with solid Christian nourishment. Check it out today.
We need to get outside of ourselves. We say that we are saved to serve, or blessed to be a blessing. Therefore, we need to be extending the love and fellowship of Christ and this church to people beyond our doors. We need to open up our friendships to include newcomers. Who needs our care? Who needs to hear about how much Jesus loves them? Who in particular can you invite, urge, and bring to church to share in this grand Good News that we have discovered? When we know a beautiful secret, we don’t let it go unsaid!
