Set your clocks back an hour next Saturday night! Daylight Saving Time ends early Sunday morning, so we get a 25-hour Saturday to enjoy. Before you go to bed Saturday night, set your clocks back one hour. Get an extra hour of sleep, and you won’t arrive at church an hour early next Sunday morning.
Care Net Banquet on Monday, November 3 – Care Net, a Christian ministry based locally in Ellensburg, lovingly and effectively helps women avoid abortion and offers care for those who need help in pregnancy. Our church helps support Care Net through our missions budget. The 5:30 banquet at Central Washington University will provide a great opportunity for supporters to better understand the ministry and help underwrite it. The banquet is free, but reservations are needed and an offering will be received. Contact Susan Colts at the church office if you would like to attend. Several plan to go from our church already. Rides available.
Roslyn Presbyterian Women meet Wednesday, November 5. The annual budget meeting will be at noon followed by the general meeting at 1:00 pm. All women are welcome.
Reach out to children around the world. One of our biggest mission projects each year is preparing hundreds of gift boxes to be distributed to destitute children overseas by Samaritan’s Purse in Operation Christmas Child. It takes a lot of hands to make the gifts and to assemble the boxes, so each Tuesday at 2:00, a work party is gathering downstairs to lend a hand. Join in on the fun! Items are still needed to fill the boxes, such as hard candies, Beanie Baby–type toys, and school supplies. Can you donate both your time and something for the gift boxes?
