Pray for Beth Matanich in Haiti. Beth is on a short-term mission trip to rural, mountainous Haiti until February 24. She will be ministering with her daughter, son-in-law, and infant granddaughter with the ministry Hope in Haiti (www.hopeinhaiti.org). They will be backpacking into a rural area beyond roads, where sanitation, clean drinking water, and even security can be spotty, so ask God for their protection. They will be assisting the poor and working with children, so pray for their effectiveness and joy in Christ. Haiti is a country devastated by poverty, oppression, instability, and even spiritual darkness, but its people are loved by God. Let us uphold Beth and her family in our prayers.
Our Men’s Group on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 is beginning study of the Epistle of 1 John. Although new participants are welcome at any time, this is a particularly good time to get started with the study and fellowship. No prior Bible knowledge is necessary, and Bibles are provided. The men have been known to devour a cookie or two, as well, so don’t miss out on the opportunity.
Your help is needed: We need volunteers for the following: Communion servers, greeters, worship leaders and refreshments. Sign-up next time you are in the church. Sign-up sheets are in the Fellowship Hall on the wood table by the kitchen pass-through. Thank you for your faithful service.
