Church ladies of Roslyn, unite! Roslyn Presbyterian Women has invited our sisters in Christ from the Roslyn Episcopal and Catholic churches to a Christmas luncheon and optional cookie exchange on Wednesday, December 3, at noon. Join us as we gather together to pray for our community. Bring a salad or a dessert to share if you would like. To take part in the cookie exchange, bring two dozen cookies. RPW will be collecting items for Aspen House in Ellensburg, which serves women and children escaping abuse. If you would like, bring items such as toiletries for women and children; gift items for children to give their moms, such as gloves, scarves, and candles; small gift items that moms can give their children; or wrapping paper, gift bags, and bows. No need to wrap gifts.
Get your bling on! Marian Russ will lead a class in making some simple jewelry on Tuesday, December 2 at 2:00 pm, upstairs here at the church. Supplies will be provided (you may give donations towards their purchase). For more information call Beth Matanich at 649-3424.
The Mountain Voices Christmas Choir (along with the Children’s Choir) will be performing many of your favorite Christmas carols on Friday, December 5, 7:00 pm, and on Saturday, December 6, 3:00 pm, at Cle Elum Community Church. Bible Study Fellowship will begin a Tuesday daytime women’s class at our church in early January. BSF is an in-depth, interdenominational Bible study that helps people know God and equips them to effectively serve the Church. The start time is to be decided. The current study is “The Life of Moses”. The study starting in the fall of 2015 is the book of Revelation. For more information or to enroll (required), call Carol Hornall, group leader, at 674-6863. “BSF produces mature Christians, and I highly recommend it,” says Pastor Berkley.
