Don’t miss the potato potluck! Hold the date of Tuesday, September 30, at 5:00 for a fellowship potluck built around baked potatoes. Bring potato toppings or a dessert to share, and Roslyn Presbyterian Women will provide salad and the baked potatoes. This is a great opportunity to bring along friends so that they can get to know people from this church. Invite several!
Reach out to children around the world. One of our biggest projects each year is preparing hundreds of gift boxes to be distributed to destitute children overseas by Samaritan’s Purse. It takes a lot of hands to make the gifts and to assemble the boxes, so each Tuesday at 2:00, a work party is gathering downstairs to lend a hand. Join in on the fun! Items are still needed to fill the boxes, such as hard candies, Beanie Baby–type toys, and school supplies. What might you donate?
Italian Dinner, October 11 – The annual Italian Dinner here in the Fellowship Hall is always a community favorite, so it is always a great event to invite friends to our church. Tickets will be on sale soon, so hold the date now and start growing an appetite. Tickets will be $10 for adults, $5 for children under 10, and free for children under 5. Don’t miss this opportunity to bring guests.
Thank you to Dan Sater for making and installing the new Bible and hymnal racks for the back pew. They are a nice convenience and look great too.
Neil Dewey, Karen Moore, Dan Sater and Dave Thompson lent a hand to unload a shipment Monday morning for the COAL Center in Cle Elum. COAL stands for Community Outreach and Life-skills Center and is Christian based. According to Joanne at HopeSource, the COAL Center will be the local food bank once they are a viable and sustained program.
