CALL TO WORSHIP: Elder Craig Ditman
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, He is God! It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; bless His name!
For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations.” (Psalm 100 – A Psalm for giving thanks)
All – “For all the promises of God find their Yes in Jesus Christ. That is why it is through Him that we utter our Amen to God for His glory.” (2 Cor. 1:20)
..
SONG OF PRAISE: “Now Thank We All Our God”
1 Now thank we all our God
with heart and hands and voices,
who wondrous things has done,
in whom his world rejoices;
who from our mothers’ arms
has blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love,
and still is ours today.
2 O may this bounteous God
through all our life be near us,
with ever joyful hearts
and blessed peace to cheer us,
to keep us in his grace,
and guide us when perplexed,
and free us from all ills
of this world in the next.
3 All praise and thanks to God
the Father now be given,
the Son and Spirit blest,
who reign in highest heaven
the one eternal God,
whom heaven and earth adore;
for thus it was, is now,
and shall be evermore.
.
INVOCATION: In Unison
LORD God of Israel and Father of Jesus Christ, our King, You are the one true and only God, the wonder worker of Your creation. O, that You might grant us unity in Christ, empowered by Your Holy Spirit, that we may serve You and bless Your name in the singing of our hymns and psalms, in the prayers cast at Your feet and in receiving Your word to the nourishment of our souls. It is into Your hands that we place ourselves and our worship, humbly asking You to glorify Yourself. For to You be all service, blessing and adoration, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
.
HYMN OF WORSHIP: “Let All Things Now Living”
1 Let all things now
living a song of thanksgiving
To God the creator triumphantly raise.
Who fashioned and made us, protected and stayed us,
Who still guides us on to the end of our days.
God’s banners are o’er us, His light goes before us,
A pillar of fire shining forth in the night.
Till shadows have vanished and darkness is banished
As forward we travel from light into light.
2 His law he enforces, the stars in their courses
And sun in its orbit obediently shine;
The hills and the mountains, the rivers and fountains,
The deeps of the ocean proclaim him divine.
We too should be voicing our love and rejoicing;
With glad adoration a Song let us raise
Till all things now living unite in thanksgiving:
“To God in the highest, Hosanna and praise!”
.
CONFESSING OUR SIN TOGETHER: In Unison
O God of grace and truth: We confess it is all too easy for us to sacrifice convictions for convenience, standards for status, principles for promotion, absolutes for ambition. We are readily seduced by power and prestige, by pleasures and possessions. From what the world offers, we turn to You unfulfilled. Forgive our half-heartedness and our double-mindedness. Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Renew and refresh us through Christ our Lord. Amen. Please the next few moments for quiet reflection and confession of sins to God.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON:
God does freely pardon all those who confess and turn to Him through the perfect sacrifice of Christ Jesus, our Lord.

DOXOLOGY: On Screen
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow,
Praise Him all creatures here below.
Praise Him above ye heavenly host,
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
.
HYMN OF ADORATION: “We Gather Together”
1 We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens his will to make known;
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to his name; he forgets not his own.
2 Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining his kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, wast at our side; all glory be thine!
3 We all do extol thee, thou leader triumphant,
And pray that thou still our defender wilt be.
Let thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!
THE WORD SPEAKS TO OUR LIVES: Pastor Geoff
Autumn Sermon Series
Progressing thru the Psalms with the Love of Our Lives
Part Three
An Evening Psalm—
“Sleep Tight & Don’t Let the Bad Words Bite”
CLOSING SONG: “Come, Ye Thankful People, Come”
1 Come, ye thankful people, come,
raise the song of harvest home;
all is safely gathered in,
ere the winter storms begin.
God our Maker doth provide
for our wants to be supplied;
come to God’s own temple, come,
raise the song of harvest home.
2 All the world is God’s own field,
fruit as praise to God we yield;
wheat and tares together sown
are to joy or sorrow grown;
first the blade and then the ear,
then the full corn shall appear;
Lord of harvest, grant that we
wholesome grain and pure may be.
3 For the Lord our God shall come,
and shall take the harvest home;
from the field shall in that day
all offenses purge away,
giving angels charge at last
in the fire the tares to cast;
but the fruitful ears to store
in the garner evermore.
4 Even so, Lord, quickly come,
bring thy final harvest home;
gather thou thy people in,
free from sorrow, free from sin,
there, forever purified,
in thy presence to abide;
come, with all thine angels, come,
raise the glorious harvest home.
