We helped firefighters! This week, Mt. Pisgah became a quiet place to sleep through the day for a crew of firefighters on the night shift. We thank God for all the firefighters, and we’re pleased that we could do something for the effort.
Labor Day Family Camp at Tall Timber Ranch ‒ Held August 31 to September 3 near Lake Wenatchee, this Presbyterian weekend conference has something for families, couples, singles, youth, seniors—you name it! Experience teaching, recreation (like a zip line!), beautiful scenery, campfires, and great food. Find more information at www.talltimber.org, or call 509-763-3127.
The prayer cards in the pew racks offer you a way to make a prayer request. Fill it in and place it in the offering plate, and your request will be included in the pastoral prayer. This method helps Pastor Berkley have all the needed information and is the preferred way to make requests known. Spoken prayer requests will continue, too, for requests that do not get written down in time.
Upper County Christian Women’s Annual Retreat, 4:00 pm September 21‒3:00 pm September 22 at Camp Koinonia, Cle Elum. This brief retreat nearby features local speakers and is for women who are high school seniors and older. The cost is $50. Our church office has applications. Some scholarship help is available. September 14 registration deadline.
Every Thursday, faithful volunteers gather to tend the church landscaping. These thoughtful folks make our church property look great—and they enjoy the fellowship as they work together. Join them this week at 9:00 am on Thursday.
Presbyterian Women will be meeting on September 5 at 1:00 pm, here. We have a full schedule of fall activities to plan and decisions to make, please come and be a part of the process. Our fall kick off event is the “Taste of Italy” Spaghetti Dinner and the team is assembled and ready to produce another successful fund raiser. Membership is not necessary to attend the Presbyterian Woman meetings. If you have a heart for Christ, the Church, and missions than you are welcome.
