Installation Service, next Sunday, 4:00 ‒ The Presbytery of Central Washington will install Pastor Jim Berkley in a service of installation at 4:00 on November 18. This festive occasion formally marks the call to Pastor Berkley, extended by this congregation and then approved unanimously by the presbytery. Invite friends and guests to celebrate with us. Jack Peebles, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Yakima (Jim’s home church), will preach.
Hundreds of gifts for children ‒ The Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts are getting packed on Tuesday for delivery to Yakima. From there they go to a national distribution center to be readied to fly to a child somewhere in the world. Thank you for all your donations of time, supplies, and money. Volunteers do an amazing job with this project, and it reaps a harvest for the kingdom of God.
Young Life leads youth to Christ ‒ Next Sunday, Kim Avila, Interim Director of Young Life for the Upper Kittitas County, will report briefly on this evangelistic organization that we help support. Don’t miss the good news from Kim.
Bible studies for men and for women meet on Tuesday evenings at 6:30. This is a great time to start the wise habit of Christian growth through Bible study with your friends from Mt. Pisgah. Men meet at the church, women at Janie Wallick’s home in Cle Elum.
