- Do we have correct contact information about you?
In September 2012, we published a church directory for congregational use to keep us connected. If you are new to Mt. Pisgah after that time or if your address, phone, or e-mail has changed, we would like to get your information to use in a new directory coming out in the spring.
Both members and friends of Mt. Pisgah will be included, so if you’re here, you qualify! Pick up a form at the table by the front door, fill it in, and return it to the church office.
OR
Fill out the online form available from our website: Directory Form. OR: Click on “Directory Form” on the upper right hand. The form will be emailed automatically to church admin.
If you are in the 2012 directory and your information remains unchanged, you do not need to fill in a form.
- Operation Christmas Child is gearing up for another year of filling shoeboxes with the love and hope found in Jesus. Bar soap in any size is needed for the hygiene bags
- Please pray for our dismissal from PCUSA. This week, our dismissal from PCUSA to another denomination, the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (known as ECO), will be decided by our presbytery on Saturday.
Prior to that, Session will be meeting on Tuesday to discuss our response to aspects of that dismissal. Please pray that all the work of discernment and dismissal can be resolved fairly and congenially, and that Satan will have no opportunity to cause discord or disruption.
If the vote goes as planned on Saturday, we will be officially dismissed on March 31 and be an ECO congregation on April 1.
- Why are we changing denominations? We have voted as a church to stand firm in our Presbyterian beliefs, and ECO is a denomination that shares those beliefs and most resembles the Presbyterian Church that originally attracted us to Presbyterian beliefs and practices in the first place.
We are not so much leaving the Presbyterian Church (USA) as it has left us through changes in emphases, beliefs, morality, and practices.
ECO upholds biblical authority in ways that the PCUSA no longer does. In ECO, we will have a denomination whose beliefs, practices, materials, events, and leaders will inspire and build our faith.
We will be joining several of the strongest Central Washington Presbyterian congregations already in ECO, so that we will remain in close fellowship with them.
